This week (May 2-6, 2016) Community Water Center is celebrating National Drinking Water Week with a series of empowering events throughout the San Joaquin Valley. This year is extra special because we will be celebrating the AGUA Coalition’s 10th year of water justice activism! Events will focus on providing resources and education to communities with various drinking water challenges. Community Water Center will host meetings in the form of “platicas”, or informal community talks, held in East Porterville, Arvin, Fresno and Orosi.
National Drinking Water Week reminds us to work together to ensure all Californians their legal right to safe, clean, and affordable drinking water. Please refer to the National Drinking Water Week Calendar for more details on events and locations. Can’t be there in person? Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to receive more information on how to support the movement for safe, affordable drinking water in all California communities.
